改編自作家森村誠一的同名推理小說(shuō)，此書(shū)1976年出版 隔年已故演員松田優(yōu)作和女演員岡田茉莉子合演的電影版版大賣(mài)座，2004年也曾由竹野內豐和夏川結衣拍攝為連續劇版，但將劇中時(shí)代改為現代。此次重拍的特別劇版將維持原著(zhù)70年代的設定，故事的舞臺為1974年的東京，敘述知名美容家(原作和電影版為時(shí)裝設計師)八杉恭子(鈴木京香)舉辦宴會(huì )的飯店電梯內，一名被以短刀刺殺的黑人青年死亡。死前僅留下了一句不知意思為何的「斯托哈」，警視廳刑警棟居弘一良(藤原)和其團隊對此案展開(kāi)調查。
